Malawi

Malawi, affectionately known as the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’, is a wonderfully welcoming destination characterised by beautiful landscapes, rich culture and the shimmering waters of Lake Malawi.

Lake Malawi, an inland sea.

Stretching along much of the country, Lake Malawi is undoubtedly one of its greatest attractions, with clear waters, sandy beaches and secluded islands offering the perfect setting for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, sailing or simply slowing down beside the lake. Away from the water, Malawi also offers rewarding wildlife experiences in reserves such as Liwonde National Park and Majete Wildlife Reserve, where elephants, hippos, antelope and an impressive variety of birdlife can be found.

Combining safari, scenery and time beside the lake, Malawi offers a wonderfully relaxed alternative to some of Africa’s better-known destinations and works beautifully as part of a longer Southern African journey.
