About Danielle
Hi, I’m Danielle Sheedy, founder of Safari Creators and your personal travel designer for privately curated African journeys.
I was born and raised in South Africa, in a small town on the edge of the Kruger National Park—where my connection to the wilderness began from an early age.
After graduating with a distinction in journalism, I began my career in luxury hospitality and international travel. I worked across a range of leading hospitality brands in the United States, including The Ritz-Carlton Club in Aspen, Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami, and Royal Caribbean International, where I spent several years travelling the world while working in guest experience and loyalty services.
After five years abroad and travel through more than 50 countries, I returned to Africa with a deep appreciation for both global standards of service and the unique magic of this continent.
Back home, I worked in media as a journalist and writer before returning to my long-standing connection with tourism—a natural progression shaped by family experience and a lifelong love of travel.
Safari Creators was founded in 2018 with a clear purpose: to design highly personalised safari journeys across Southern and East Africa that combine authenticity, comfort, and meaningful connection to place.
Today, I work closely with a trusted network of lodges, guides, and partners to create tailored itineraries for travellers seeking something truly considered and unique. Every journey is designed with care, insight, and a deep understanding of Africa as both a destination and an experience.
Based at Crocodile Bridge Gate, on the edge of the Kruger National Park, I am rooted in South Africa and work directly from Elephant Walk Tented Camp & Retreat—our family-run lodge. This on-the-ground presence allows me to stay closely connected to the destinations I design, ensuring every journey is shaped by real, lived experience.
